This day is dedicated to Larnaca, its visitors and citizens. The artistic programme starting from early afternoon, transforms some of the most beautiful corners of Larnaca into a stage, with street theatre, educational activities for children, installations and live performances, interactive shows and an after party.

FIRST ATTEMPT is a 3-day project organised by Among the Ants, under the auspices of Larnaca municipality and funded by Europe Direct Larnaca. In collaboration with the Foundation of Cultural Creativity for Children & Young People (Larnaca), the Larnaca House of Letters & Arts and the Department of Music & Dance/BA Dance Studies of the University of Nicosia,
FIRST ATTEMPT is the first of a series of cultural activities in Cyprus leading up to Khaki Kite Street Arts Camp & Festival in 2013.

The artistic part of the project involves performances and artistic interventions in different public spaces of Larnaca; our intention is to offer audiences an opportunity to enjoy professional street theatre performances by European and Cyprus- based artists.
